Jesus gives us the command to, “Go and make disciples…” The outreach ministry focuses on ways to go beyond the walls of the church to make contact with people who may need the gospel of Jesus Christ or simply loving contact from someone who cares. How do I get involved with outreach at Azalea? There are several ways you can get involved with the outreach ministry at our church.

Loving Others

The Apostle Paul says in Colossians 4:5-6, “When you are with unbelievers, always make good use of the time, be pleasant and hold their interest when you speak the message. Choose your words carefully and be ready to give answers to anyone who has questions.” You are our best outreach tool! Everyone has a circle of influence in which they can build relationships for the sake of the message whether they are family members, friends, or everyday acquaintances. These are the very people that you can share the gospel with and invite to Church and Sunday School. As a result, we offer training in how to effectively communicate the gospel to those that are around us everyday.

Sunday School

One of our primary goals in Sunday School is to fulfill the Great Commission by reaching out to others and sharing the good news of Jesus. Everyone has a circle of influence in which they can build relationships for the sake of the message whether they are family members, friends, or everyday acquaintances. These are the very people that you can share the gospel with and invite to Church and Sunday School. 

Visitation

Held bimonthly, we meet the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We make a special effort to reach out to guests and potential guests of Azalea as well as make contact with those who may be seeking a relationship with Jesus Christ. We do this through methods such as home visits, letter writing, and making phone calls. If you would be interested in helping us make these first meaningful touches, please contact the church office , or just show up on any evening we meet for this outreach!

Special Event Outreach Team

Throughout the year we have special events that are designed to reach out to our community. Through these events we gain information about individuals and families that need a ministry contact from us because of decisions they have made or information they want. We need leaders ready to respond to these needs immediately after an event through visits, calls, and letter writing.
